Sunningdale School is an independent prep day and boarding school for boys between the ages of 7 and 13 years. Boarding from Year 3 for the 80% of pupils who board. 90% are full boarders and 10% are weekly or flexi boarders. It is a Church of England school, open to all faiths and none. The school has a non-selective admissions policy. It is a standalone prep school, not tied to any one senior school. Sunningdale School fees are £10,224 per term (2025/26). Full boarding fees are £13,080 per term. Fees include VAT but exclude lunches.

School curriculum is based on the National Curriculum and the ISEB Common Entrance curriculum. It also includes PSHE, French, Latin, Greek. School operates a bushcraft programme. The school offers each child a handful of extra-curricular academic activities or hobby clubs.

There are regular educational trips for all year groups, visiting speakers, bushcraft sessions and residential trips from Year 6. School operates a bushcraft programme. The school owns it’s own manoir and barn in 7 acres near Bayeux in Normandy where all boys spend 3 x 1 week over the course of their education for French, science, history, and geography.

Specialist teachers for sport, music, art, DT, drama, computing and languages throughout, and for all subjects from Year 4.

Sport at Sunningdale School

School offers over 20 different sports through the year, through both the curriculum and an extensive extra-curriculum. Representative teams in major sports from Year 3.

The Arts at Sunningdale School

Art, music and drama are taught as discrete curricular subjects to all pupils. All pupils learn an instrument in class and three-quarters take extra-curricular instrument lessons. Chapel Choir (touring) and Junior Choir and several instrument ensembles. The school offers each pupil over 5 different extra-curricular creative and performing arts clubs.

Wraparound care

School hours for day boys match those for boarders. By default, day boy care is from 8.00am to 6.00pm.
