Alleyn’s Regent’s Park Prep is an independent prep day school for boys and girls (60%/40%) between the ages of 2 and 13 years. Boys and girls are taught separately from Year 6. The school has a non-selective admissions policy. It is a standalone prep school and a member of the Cognita Schools and Alleyn’s Schools Groups. Alleyn’s Regent’s Park Prep fees range from £9,537 (Rec) to £10,442 per term (2025/26). Fees include VAT and lunches.

Average class size

Alleyn’s Regent’s Park Prep has between four and seven classes per year to Year 6, two from Year 7, and an average class size of 17 pupils.

Leavers' destinations

75% of Alleyn’s Regent’s Park Prep pupils leave after Year 6, the most popular destination (35%-45%) being the newly branded Alleyn’s Hampstead (ex North Bridge House Hampstead). North Bridge House Canonbury is also a popular choice. Otherwise, pupils move on to one of 25 different schools. The most popular, Highgate School, North London Collegiate, City of London Girls, South Hampstead High, Channing, and UCS rarely account for more than 5% of 11+ leavers. It’s mainly boys that make up the 25% who stay at the Prep to Year 8, when they head off to one of 12 different schools. Mill Hill Senior is the most popular, taking 35%. City of London School takes 20% of Year 8 leavers.

The Alleyn’s Regent’s Park Prep curriculum

School curriculum follows the National Curriculum and the ISEB Common Entrance curriculum. It also includes PPE (philosophy, politics, economics), General Studies, critical thinking, PSHE, French, Spanish, Mandarin, Latin. The school offers each pupil between 5 and 10 different extra-curricular academic activities or hobby clubs. In recent years the school has enjoyed national tournament success in chess.

Sport at Alleyn’s Regent’s Park Prep

School offers over 15 different sports through the year, through both the curriculum and extra-curriculum. Competitive teams in major sports from Year 3.

The Arts at Alleyn’s Regent’s Park Prep

Art, music, and drama are taught as discrete curricular subjects to all pupils. All pupils learn an instrument in class and half take extra-curricular instrument lessons from Year 3. Five choirs, orchestra and several instrument ensembles. Each pupil may participate in up to 10 different extra-curricular creative and performing arts clubs.
