Homefield Preparatory School is an independent prep day school for boys between the ages of 3 and 11 years. The school has an academically selective admissions policy. It is a standalone prep school, not tied to any one senior school. Homefield Preparatory School fees range from £4,463 (Rec) to £6,685 per term (2025/26). Fees include VAT but exclude lunches.

Leavers' destinations

Destinations for Homefield Preparatory School leavers are any one of 30 different independent, grammar or comprehensive schools, though mainly independent. The school supports a wide range of destinations. 60% of Year 6 leavers head for local grammar and comprehensive schools: Sutton Grammar, Wallington County and Wilson’s are by far the most popular destinations. Of the 40% heading to independents, King’s College School Wimbledon, Ewell Castle School, City of London Freemen’s School, and Trinity School account for half.

The Homefield Preparatory School curriculum

School curriculum is based on the National Curriculum and the ISEB Common Entrance curriculum with some additions and variations. It also includes PSHE, French, Latin. The school offers each pupil between 5 and 10 different extra-curricular academic activities or hobby clubs. In recent years the school has enjoyed national tournament success in chess, maths, science.

Specialist teachers for sport, music, languages and computing throughout, for art from Year 3, and for all subjects from Year 4.

Sport at Homefield Preparatory School

School offers over 15 different sports through the year, through both the curriculum and extra-curriculum. Competitive teams in major sports from Year 3. In recent years the school has enjoyed national success in rugby.

The Arts at Homefield Preparatory School

Art and music are taught as discrete curricular subjects to all pupils. Drama is part of the co-curriculum. All pupils learn an instrument in class and 80% take extra-curricular instrument lessons from Year 3. Five choirs, orchestra and several instrument ensembles. The school offers each pupil over 5 different extra-curricular creative and performing arts clubs.

Wraparound care from 7.15am to 6.00pm. Minibus service.
