Kew Green Preparatory School is an independent prep day school for boys and girls (50%/50%) between the ages of 2 and 11 years. The school has a non-selective admissions policy. It is a standalone prep school, not tied to any one senior school, and is a member of the Gardener Schools Group. Kew Green Preparatory School fees range from £7,758 (Rec) to £8,632 per term (2025/26). Fees include VAT but exclude lunches.

Leavers' destinations

Leavers’ destination schools for Kew Green Prep School pupils are usually one of 20 independent day schools, mainly in south west London. A handful go to Home Counties’ boarding schools, and one or two to grammar schools. Apart from Kew House School, which accounts for 50% of leavers, destination choices are evenly, and thinly, spread. Kew House School and Maida Vale School are also Gardener Group Schools, offering an automatic and seamless transfer from Kew Green Prep.

The Kew Green Preparatory School curriculum

School curriculum is based on the National Curriculum and also includes PSHE/life skills, current affairs, reasoning, French. Though its constituent subjects are taught separately there are also combined STEAM lessons throughout the school. There is also a themed focus week every term. The school offers each pupil between 5 and 10 different extra-curricular academic activities or hobby clubs.

Sport at Kew Green Preparatory School

School offers between 10 and 15 different sports over the course of the year. Competitive teams in major sports from Year 3. In recent years the school has enjoyed national success in netball.

The Arts at Kew Green Preparatory School

Art and music are taught as discrete curricular subjects to all pupils. Drama is part of the co-curriculum. All pupils learn an instrument in class and three-quarters take extra-curricular instrument lessons from Year 3. Three choirs, orchestra and several instrument ensembles. The school offers each pupil over 5 different extra-curricular creative and performing arts clubs.
