The Norwich Lower School curriculum

School curriculum is based on the National Curriculum and also includes PSHE, reasoning, French, Spanish, German. Subjects are usually taught separately, but there are cross-curricular projects from Year 3, as well as ‘topic’ for foundation subjects in Years 1 and 2. The school offers each pupil between 5 and 10 different extra-curricular academic activities or hobby clubs.

Sport at Norwich Lower School

School offers over 15 different sports through the year, through both the curriculum and extra-curriculum. Competitive teams in major sports from Year 3.

The Arts at Norwich Lower School

School educates the choristers of Norwich Cathedral. Art and music are taught as discrete curricular subjects to all pupils. Drama is part of the co-curriculum. All pupils learn an instrument in class and three-quarters take extra-curricular instrument lessons from Year 3. Four choirs (in addition to the choristers), orchestra and several instrument ensembles. Each pupil may participate in up to 10 different extra-curricular creative and performing arts clubs.
