School fundamentals

St Faith’s School is an independent prep day school for boys and girls (50%/50%) between the ages of 4 and 13 years. It is a Methodist school, open to all faiths and none. The school has an academically selective admissions policy. It shares the same foundation as The Leys School, a senior school for pupils to age 18, and is affiliated to the Methodist Independent Schools Trust. St Faith’s School fees range from £6,632 (Rec) to £8,354 per term (2025/26). Fees include VAT and lunches.

St Faith’s School has three classes per year rising to four, and an average class size of 17 pupils.

Leavers' destinations

About 50% of St Faith’s School pupils head to co-foundation school The Leys School for Year 9, having won a place in Year 6. Other destinations include Cambridge schools such as The Perse School, Stephen Perse School, and St Mary’s School (20% between them). Some pupils head to a range of Home Counties/East of England boarding schools. Up to 50% of pupils win awards and scholarships.

The St Faith's School curriculum

School curriculum is based on the National Curriculum and also includes engineering, PSHCE, French, Spanish, Latin. School seeks to promote thinking, enquiry, and project skills through skills-based cross-curricular opportunities such as the ‘creative curriculum’ in pre-prep, engineering from Year 3, humanities (Years 3 to 5), and the eight whole-school enrichment days per year. The school offers each pupil between 5 and 10 different extra-curricular academic activities or hobby clubs.

There are regular educational trips for all year groups, visiting speakers and residential trips from Year 5. Eco Schools programme Green Flag accreditation.

Specialist teaching

Specialist teachers for sport, music, and languages throughout, for engineering, computing, and art from Year 3, and for most subjects from Year 5.

Sport at St Faith's School

School offers over 15 different sports through the year, through both the curriculum and extra-curriculum. Competitive teams in major sports from Year 3. All pupils have the opportunity to represent the school. In recent years the school has enjoyed national success in athletics, badminton, gymnastics, hockey, netball, sailing, trampolining.

The Arts at St Faith's School

Art, music and drama are taught as discrete curricular subjects to all pupils. All pupils learn an instrument in class and two-thirds take extra-curricular instrument lessons from Year 3. Three choirs, orchestra and up to 20 instrument ensembles. Each pupil may participate in up to 10 different extra-curricular creative and performing arts clubs.

Wraparound care from 7.20am to 5.30pm (pre-prep) or 6.00pm (prep). Minibus service.
