Warwick Preparatory School is an independent prep day school for girls between the ages of 3 and 11 years. It has a co-ed nursery and pre-prep. It is a Christian school, open to all faiths and none. The school has an academically selective admissions policy from Year 3. It is the prep school to King’s High School, an all-through school to age 18, and is a member of the Warwick Independent Schools Foundation. Warwick Preparatory School fees range from £5,411 (Rec) to £6,631 per term (2025/26). Fees include VAT but exclude lunches.

Warwick Preparatory School has four classes per year in Pre-Prep, three from Year 4, and an average class size of 19 pupils.

Leavers' destinations

Most Prep School girls move up to King’s High School for Girls at the end of Year 6. Most boys go on to Warwick School at age 7.

The Warwick Preparatory School curriculum

School curriculum is based on the National Curriculum and the ISEB Curriculum, with some additions and variations. It also includes PSHEE, ‘Skills for Life’, French. Cross-curricular topic-led teaching up to Year 2 and STEAM topics especially in Years 5 and 6. The school offers each pupil between 5 and 10 different extra-curricular academic activities or hobby clubs.

There are regular educational trips for all year groups, visiting speakers and residential trips from Year 4. Personal Skills Development Portfolio programme in Year 6.

Specialist teaching

Specialist teachers for music from Nursery, for sport from Reception, for computing and languages from Year 1, and for art, DT, and science from Year 3.

Sport at Warwick Preparatory School

School offers over 15 different sports through the year, through both the curriculum and extra-curriculum. Competitive teams in major sports from Year 3. In recent years the school has enjoyed national success in swimming.

The Arts at Warwick Preparatory School

Art and music are taught as discrete curricular subjects to all pupils, as is drama from Year 3. All pupils learn an instrument in class and half take extra-curricular instrument lessons from Year 3. Three choirs, orchestra and 16 instrument ensembles. The school is one of the top 50 UK prep schools for the breadth of its creative and performing arts extra-curriculum.
