Wells Cathedral Prep School is an independent prep day and boarding school for boys and girls (50%/50%) between the ages of 2 and 11 years. It is also a Choir School. Boarding from Year 4 for the 10% of pupils who board. 90% are full boarders and 10% are weekly or flexi boarders. It is a Church of England school, open to all faiths and none. The school has a non-selective admissions policy. It is the junior division of Wells Cathedral School, an all-through school to age 18. The Wells Cathedral Prep School curriculum

School curriculum is based on the National Curriculum, and also includes PSHE, French. The school offers each pupil between 5 and 10 different extra-curricular academic activities or hobby clubs.

Sport at Wells Cathedral Prep School

School offers between 10 and 15 different sports over the course of the year. Representative teams in major sports from Year 3.

The Arts at Wells Cathedral Prep School

School educates the choristers of Wells Cathedral. The choir was ranked the best choir (with children) in the world by Gramophone Magazine in December 2010. Art and music are taught as discrete curricular subjects to all pupils. Drama from Year 3. All pupils learn an instrument in class and two-thirds take extra-curricular instrument lessons from Year 3. Two choirs (in addition to the Choristers), orchestra and some instrument ensembles. There are some extra-curricular creative and performing arts clubs. Annual Arts Week.

Wraparound care

Wraparound care from 7.45am to 6.00pm. Nursery open for 50 weeks of the year.
